My mom and I decided to spend a few hours mooching and browsing the charity shops in lichfield – which is a gold mine for them! just along one row of shops there are 8

So, we started off at Cancer Research then British Heart Foundation, making our way along, which doesn’t happen very fast as I have to flick through every rail until I am satisfied I haven’t missed a gem.

I started looking through the summer skirts which seem to be coming out from the stock rooms after a rush of sun in England.
Anything sparkly, embroidered or beaded gets my attention so I can quickly decipher what has potential and what gets slid along the rail.

Across all of the charity shops I found a repeating pattern of these shimmery ruffles on tops! didn’t fall in love with any of them enough to keep.

Accessories were strong today! I found this insane faux croc print handbag, with leopard print interior for £5 – I couldn’t believe my eyes and immediately set it aside behind the counter to collect later – it really was too big to carry around. Various sequin shoes and bags interested me but not enough to give them a new home. I fell in love with the burgundy jewellery case, I had never seen anything like it but just couldn’t think of a space for it in my room – or enough jewellery to fill it, maybe it will find its way back to me one day…

Last but not least, a nice selection of summer tops none of which I bought as they were either too big or too small – ready to be loved by someone else
